Another day taking it easy in Siem Reap. We walked from our guesthouse away from the river and the tourist spots. The above photo was taken in a wat we wandered through. Later while walking down a busy street I photographed this bicycle repair shop and later noticed the hammock with its occupant.

We had no destination… just walking along many red dirt roads with red dust covering everything. These homes were along the river bank but the lane side was covered in the red dust.

After lunch and poking about we started walking back to the guesthouse along the river. We stopped for a rest on this bench and an elderly Cambodian gentleman approached us. He spoke French and we somehow managed a conversation, although some was written in a notebook. In the end we left him on the bench and we continued back to the guesthouse.

Wow, great pics! I’ve never been to Cambodia. Sounds like a very cool/interesting place.
Thanks Matt. Yes, we’d really recommend Cambodia as a place to visit. Stay tuned! There’s much much more to come (and we’ve still over two weeks to go in Cambodia).
